"Leading a team to design a virtual autonomous car that can navigate a circuit as efficiently as possible, combining CAD skills with control system logic."

My Journey

1

Why Virtual Racing?

The ASME virtual autonomous car competition is a unique challenge — you design a car in CAD, then program its control logic to navigate a virtual track without any human input. It combines mechanical design intuition with control systems thinking. As team lead, I'm responsible for both the vehicle architecture and keeping our three-person team on track.

Finding the Racing Line

The key to fast lap times isn't just raw speed — it's finding the optimal path around the track. I spent hours analyzing corner geometries, calculating the fastest racing lines, and translating that knowledge into control logic. Every tenth of a second matters in competition.
